Step back in time to this one-of-a-kind desert hideaway located on five private acres, with incredible views of the mountains and Joshua Tree National Park. The bungalow is situated in among desert boulders and Joshua trees. The western entrance of the National Park is about two minutes away, or you can just walk up the wash and you will be inside the park boundaries. Some say the location is magical. We tend to agree, but you'll need to decide for yourself.
The Bungalow features a Keurig single cup coffee brewer with an assortment of coffees and hot chocolate. The kitchen is stocked with all the pots, pans, and utensils and spices you'll need to cook your meals, indoor or out. You will be inspired by the beautiful 360-degree views while reconnecting with the essence of the natural world. The dawn skies and the evening sunsets are a photographer's delight. The days are typically sunny and the star-studded night skies are nothing less than magnificent. Astronomy buffs will find plentiful constellations and planets traveling across the evening skies.
The Bungalow is popular with our local wildlife, too. Throw out a little critter feed in the morning--also supplied--and you'll be visited by doves, quail, chipmunks, squirrels, rabbits and more. You can walk the miles of desert trails or go rock climbing within walking distance of the Bungalow. After a long day of adventure, play a game of horseshoes or kick back on the patio with your favorite beverage. We've built an oasis in the desert with a funky vibe that is both peaceful and invigorating.

The Bungalow in the Boulders is available for photographic and/or video media projects. WE MUST APPROVE ALL MEDIA PROJECTS and require a separate contract, fees, and insurance. UNAUTHORIZED PHOTO/VIDEO SHOOTS ARE STRICTLY PROHIBITED AND WILL BE MET WITH IMMEDIATE LEGAL ACTION.

Owner's Cancellation Policy:
For a full refund of accommodation fees, cancellation must be made five full days prior to listing’s local check in time (or 3:00 PM if not specified) on the day of check in. For example, if check-in is on Friday, cancel by the previous Sunday before check in time. If the guest cancels less than 5 days in advance, the first night is non-refundable but 50% of the accommodation fees for remaining nights will be refunded. If the guest arrives and decides to leave early, 50% of the accommodation fees for the nights not spent 24 hours after the cancellation occurs are refunded.
We had a wonderful time at the Bungalow! Upon driving up to the property we were amazed -- the vintage decor was instantly visible from the neon signs to the cars. Even better than the pictures!! The sunsets on the back porch were incredible!! Cary was so fun and easy to communicate with. He was answered every question we had. The grounds were perfect for exploring. There are ecclectic pieces around every corner. The wildlife come right up to the house to eat. Cary leaves food for you to give them! The best place to go to leave the real world behind!!

This place is much better than the photos shows. It's a very unique experience and the 'rustic' look is a collection of artworks and it's meticulously put together. We wish we had more time at the cabin. It was amazing to see all the animals come up to us, everything from bunnies, roadrunners and desert rats. It's like a Walt Disney movie were all the animals are social with each other! We found the place easily, and make sure you bring the instruction printout Cary provides.

Bungalow in the Boulders is an amazing and magical place! It's in a perfect location, right next to Joshua Tree National Park. It's really unlike any place I've ever stayed. Cary was a fantastic host - he was extremely easy to communicate with and made sure we had everything we needed for our stay. Cary was a great host, he was available for any questions we had. He included detailed information about the property and how to manage on our own. The main cabin provided enough space for our small family and there was additional space (which we didn't need) in the bottle house and Pinky, the trailer. The property offers many places to explore and has great photo ops! The neon signs were the finishing touch, they made the experience unique!

Wow, Joshua Tree is hot in the summer, but Cary made sure we knew that. He was great! Even before our trip he reached out to me to make sure that we would be aware of the heat, and outline the provisions that he had put in place.
